Considering the fact that my Great Grandmother lived in Salt Hill, Galway, Ireland, it would be a shamrock shame if I didn’t add a few St. Patrick’s Day touches around the house. And once again, I simply re-purposed a few things I already have, like adding a green bow to my square wreath (hanging on brick wall, above chair). Mainly, just look for “GREEN” things, around the house, you can group together.
I didn’t have a green pillow to “comfy” up my front porch rocker, but my regular readers might recall that, last year, I recovered cushions, while sprucing up an old patio set: https://seasonalhome.wordpress.com/2010/04/12/spruce-up-your-patio-furniture/, so I simply used two of those cushions instead.
And before I add some bunny ears (for Easter) to my bird statuary, I placed an emerald top hat on one and a simple green bow on the other. Finally, I added a few plastic shamrock ornaments to my ivy topiary and tucked a Pot ‘o Gold on top of a miniature Blarney Stone (see center of topiary). So, at THE SEASONAL HOME, we’re ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day…
